Michael Scanlon
Our Unsung Hero
Congratulations to....
Michael Scanlon one of our staff team in Preston who was successful in being awarded an 'Unsung Hero' award as part of the Council's Pride Awards for the South Area. Last week he was successful in gaining the Corporate 'Unsung Hero' Award for the County.
He has been presented with a framed certificate and a pen in an engraved box. Someone from the PR team from County Hall is going to visit him and film / photo him in his work setting to be used in promotion of Lancashire County Council.
Michael started as a young person with us, then went on to become a volunteer on the mobile and then gained 2 part time posts in the open access and teenage sexual health teams. This is fantastic news for both Michael and the Service. Thanks also goes to Glynis Atherton for nominating him and giving him support throughout the process.
